Seek the necessary and not the extragavant

The stoics preferred a simple lifestyle, even the great roman emperor Marcus and with all the wealth Seneca preferred a simple life style. They were satisfisfied with what they needed not what they wanted.

Marcus Auelius even said “Receive without Pride let go without attachement”.

Simple life style brings with it so many advantages and lesser the better the more we are merrier.

Now lets review our lives- Are we hoarders of stuffs or people who buy only things they need.

We are more of wanters than needers

We are now in the Social media regime as I can say that Social Media governs every step we take, we want look for acceptance that comes from outside rather than acceptance that is felt within.

Looking for acceptance that comes from outside can bring up all problems like stress, anxiety and depression because we are just running to satisfy the world which we really have no control.

Real peace comes from Acceptance that comes Within us. Real hapiness is the result of self accepatnce.

Lets now forget the term “collectors of stuff” and start living with internal happiness.

More is always not better. The request for more never quenches.

How many days have you been happier after buying a luxuxy item?

AFter Iphone 6, comes 7,8,9,10,11,12 and now we always wait for 13. Is it not so?

“You have the power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this and you will find strength.”

So now Lets give Power to our Mind which is the result of internal satisfaction;Lets derive our inner power ; our inner strength;our inner peace not from external things and not from stuffs but from the richness of our mind which is the wisdom which the stoics had advocated
